Today many agencies or groups supply plumbers on the basis of the contacts between users. On the other hand, self employed plumbers also give their services to users without any kind of legal contracts. The remuneration of the services provided by the self employed plumber is also determined by himself whereas the plumbers supplied by the agencies work for the agency with a regular payment. It could be daily, weekly or monthly payment for the work done by them in the particular period of time.

The plumbing systems in a building is installed, repaired and maintained by the plumbers which is the major duty. They have big role in the construction also since they mark the points in which the fixtures or pipes have to be installed. This helps the constructor to decide the remaining construction structures. The welding and testing of the pipes are also done by a plumber. Today many universities offer courses for such non executive jobs. The certification by the concerned authorities also helps the users to get the qualified one. It is to be noted that the criteria for certification is different in different countries in the world.
